Exploring deeper resonance with self and other

A one-day voice workshop with Hannah Rees

In this experiential voice workshop you are invited to embody your voice by playfully exploring movement, breath and vocalisation as a vehicle for self expression and deeper resonance. Hannah will be drawing on Gestalt therapy, polyvagal theory and parts work.

  • Enjoy expressing yourself through breathwork, spontaneous vocalising and improvised movement as a way of supporting your expanded self

  • Tune into your inner voice and explore long-held introjects about expressing yourself vocally and what that means to you

  • Discover how your voice can become a resource for resonating with the other

  • Experience how sound and song can become a nonverbal-bridge to younger parts of the self Learn how to incorporate body, breath and voice into your work with clients

Hannah Rees is an experienced Gestalt psychotherapist and supervisor who has been working with the voice for the last 20 years. She is a Natural Voice Practitioner and trained classical singer who uses body, breath and voicework creatively in her client work. She is a guest lecturer at IATE and contributed a chapter called “Voicing the Voiceless Self” to the book Integrative Arts Psychotherapy (Routledge, 2023)
