with arising experience of shame.
The goal of this workshop is to gain a deeper understanding of the breadth and impact these emotions can have, and how it
can become chronic and integrated into the body as an emotion to avoid. We will examine with exercises the
difference between shame and guilt. We will also examine recovery from shame and dealing with feelings of guilt, and
how feeling shame is not an essential part of life.
There will be opportunities for individual and group reflection on all aspects of shame, how it can reside in the body, how shame is learnt as a response, and how to protect against shame. Looking at shame can be challenging.
